My Services
I am a coach, facilitator and mentor helping organisations empower their people to succeed.
During thirty-five years working in the City of London, first in financial regulation and then as a lawyer, I have learned a lot about the challenges that leaders, executives and professionals face. As co-founder and Managing Partner of a leading specialist law firm, I gained first-hand experience of building a successful business from scratch and creating a progressive organisational culture in which people can be the best they can be.
Now, I’m bringing a new coaching, facilitation and mentoring offer to leaders, executives, professionals and their teams. I’m partnering with clients to help them realise the full human potential in their organisations.
My practice is founded on my personal values of excellence, empowerment and equality. I believe that performance, resilience and productivity depends on people being empowered to be the best they can be, both as individuals and in their team relationships. I coach individuals and teams in a simple and effective way to help them gain greater clarity, deepen their thinking and enhance their working relationships.
In my practice I work in a partnership of equals with my clients. I am their thinking partner.

Mediation
Sometimes, with the best will in the world, people fall into stressful workplace relationships or even situations of conflict. This can be destructive of high performance and positive workplace cultures.
I am a CEDR-accredited workplace mediator, and have extensive experience in resolving conflict in a positive and collaborative way.
The specialist skills I have acquired as a workplace mediator complement my team coaching expertise, enabling me to work with teams to defuse stress and conflict where it occurs, so they can focus on being the high performance teams that they are supposed to be.


Facilitation
I have extensive experience of facilitating team discussions and board meetings. As as facilitator, I guide discussions, focusing on the process so that participants can focus on content. I create an environment of equality and ease, managing the group dynamics so that that everyone can contribute effectively to discussions, making for better decision-making.
I am an experienced public speaker, frequently delivering conference keynotes, corporate away-days and training and development sessions. I speak on a range of subjects within my experience and expertise, including business performance and strategy, workplace culture and DEI and personal growth and development.

I am an accredited coach with the International Coach Federation, the world's largest professional association for coaches. I hold a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from Henley Business School, University of Reading.
I work with my coaching clients as "thinking partner", supporting, challenging, daring them to do their most creative, independent thinking.
I use a variety of different professional coaching approaches. What ties them all together is that they are intellectually rigorous, evidence-led and outcome-oriented, with the needs of the client as independent thinker always kept centre stage. I coach teams as well as individuals, working in a systemic way to improve performance and effectiveness.

Mentoring
I also work as a mentor with emerging nextgen leaders.
Mentoring is different to coaching. Although good mentoring employs coaching skills, as mentor I would be more likely to actively advise mentees on their professional development and share my personal experiences.
I have a wealth of experience to offer, including successfully navigating the world of big law, building a book of clients, pursuing an alternative path by setting up an independent firm, building a positive workplace culture, balancing work and life, staying true to values, and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
